The positive power of Women in Print Alliance networking was on full display throughout the entirety of the highly anticipated PRINTING United Expo, the United States’ largest convergence industry trade show, held from September 10 – 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Highlights included:
- Expo Booth, which was a major draw and gathering place all three days of the trade show. Women in Print Director Lisbeth Lyons Black was on hand to meet and greet Expo attendees and promote the value proposition of Women in Print Alliance membership, including in-person and virtual events, educational content and programming, and enhanced networking via a members-only directory and online forum.
- Membership Reception, which featured cocktails and mocktails plus heavy appetizers in the gorgeous Azul restaurant in the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Over 85 women in print and generous sponsors gathered at the private venue to socialize outside of the trade show environment. An over-the-top empanada bar and scrumptious passed hors d’oeuvre kept attendees well fed and the candlelit vibe of Azul made for the perfect conversational setting.
- Informal Meetups at the Women in Print Alliance host hotel, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, such as morning coffee at Chez Bon Bon or Bleau Bar for a post-Expo champagne toast, offered additional opportunities for women to connect and expand their professional network. New this year, the Dine Around concept, which randomly matched six Women in Print Alliance members at pre-set dinner reservations, was a big hit as it provided a safe space for women to explore Vegas after dark and get to one another on a more personal level.
- Networking Luncheon, which – once again – was the hottest ticket at Expo and a highlight Women at Print Alliance Expo experience. Over 200 women convened for a lovely, plated luncheon and welcomed respite from the hectic pace and transactional nature of the trade show floor. Attendees were treated to a thought-provoking, inspiring keynote address by Maureen Zappala who took on the topic of Imposter Syndrome with vulnerability and humor, while providing actionable tactics to combat self-doubt to achieve new levels of peace and success in the workplace.
We’re still buzzing with the energy generated by the motivated, inclusive, forward-looking community of women in print we encountered in Las Vegas – and we can’t wait for the next major gathering of this scale at the 2025 PRINTING United Expo! Save the Date for October 22-24, 2025 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
