Recognizing that PRINTING United Expo is a marathon, not a sprint – and that you wouldn’t run a marathon without a stretching first – U.N.I.T.E. Together (which stands for Understanding New Ideas Through Empathy) hosted a unique, coed wellness event on the morning of Expo Day One to offer attendees a chance to meditate, stretch, and set their intentions for a successful Expo experience.
Kristyn Leary, an entrepreneur in the women in print community and owner of Original Apparel, led the Gentle Yoga session on the rooftop of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Namaste, Kristyn!
A $1 minimum donation to benefit SkillsUSA was requested from participants, and all donations raised will go to high schoolers are competing in print categories in SkillsUSA 2025 national championship.
Adrienne Palmer, editor-in-chief of DTF Printing and a member of both the U.N.I.T.E. Together Board of Directors and the Women in Print Advisory Council, was a driving force behind the wellness event.
Speaking to the need to both destress at Expo while raising funds for a worthy cause, Adrienne noted, “Starting our morning with a peaceful Yoga class was the perfect way to pause and prepare for the three-day tradeshow. Thank you to PRINTING United Alliance for working with us on acquiring the beautiful rooftop space and to those who attended the class.”
“We raised $400 for students involved in SKillsUSA. Our goal in partnering with the organization is to create a more diverse and inclusive print industry, which starts by connecting with students who are interested in careers in print.”
Bonus? The first 100 attendees received branded swag courtesy of SanMar and Stoked on Printing – just another example of print and promotional products making the world a better (and more flexible!) place.
