Are you a woman in print executive who is passionate about promoting and protecting print? And one who’s interested in learning how to effectively advocate on behalf of the industry to ensure elected officials are fully informed on key policy issues?
If so, consider attending the PRINTING United Alliance Legislative Fly-In, a biannual government affairs event that brings printing industry leaders together for a powerful program of public policy education, issue advocacy, interaction with members of Congress, and networking events.
Applications are currently being accepted for C-Suite level print executives who wish to be part of the industry’s delegation to Capitol Hill.
As an attendee, you will have the unique opportunity to put before federal elected officials the public policy issues that impact the printing industry. Core issues on the agenda will include: tax, trade, USPS rates and reform, environment and sustainability, and workforce development.
The highlight of the Fly-In are in-person advocacy meetings with your US Senators, US Representatives and/or their staff, during which you will have the opportunity to speak directly about how these issues impact your company, employees and customers.
Key benefits of participating in the Fly-In include:
- Networking – Fly-In trips can provide business leaders with a platform to network with other business owners and professionals in the printing industry. By attending the Fly-In, you will gain access to a network of fellow print service providers, small business owners, community leaders, government officials, business prospects, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and connect in-person with other leaders in the women in print community.
- Learning Opportunities – The Legislative Fly-In will provide attendees with learning opportunities on a variety of topics. PRINTING United Alliance will provide an overview of the industry’s legislative and regulatory agenda. Professional government affairs consultants will prepare attendees for the in-person meetings and share best practices to help you tell your company’s story.
- Access to Key Decision-Makers – A visit to our nation’s capital can help business leaders gain access to key decision-makers and administration officials, including Members of Congress and leaders at federal agencies. This audience is an often-overlooked industry stakeholder, but savvy business owners and executives know the value of building relationships with elected officials. Don’t forget to bring your business cards!
Nothing hits home for an elected official quite like a visit from a constituent. If collectively voicing support for the industry’s advocacy agenda and promoting the positive value of print sparks your passion, please plan to join us in May in Washington, DC.
