Two blondes and a printer walk into a… podcast booth??
What sounds like the set up to a punch line is actually the theme of one of the newest – and highly engaging – print industry podcasts.
Spearheaded by colleagues at Racami, 2 Blondes and a Printer is a dynamic podcast that delves into the industry challenges facing commercial print, transaction printers, direct marketers, and everyone else in the customer communications space. Co-hosts and industry professionals Katelin Shanks and Anna Hockett shine a spotlight on the technology and innovation helping to tackle those challenges and position our industry as so much more than ink on paper.
The podcast dives into the latest print technologies, tackles industry hurdles head-on, and draws lessons from the past to chart a course for the future. Each episode promises an engaging lineup of guests, ranging from seasoned industry veterans to women leaders and forward-thinking innovators.
Together, Shanks, senior account executive at Racami and Hockett, director of Business Development at Racami pull back the curtain on what they view as the SEXY side of print.
Shanks elaborates on what inspired Hockett and her to collaborate and create the 2 Blondes and a Printer podcast. “It wasn’t on our professional Bingo cards to end up in the print & mail industry, but now that we are, it wasn’t long until we were fed up with hearing that “print is dead”! A $65 billion dollar industry clearly has a pulse! So, we were inspired to create a podcast where we bring on thought leaders and innovators from the industry, and blend that together with our passion for female empowerment and all things technology!”
This special blend may just be podcast gold.
For instance, in their first episode, “Talking Vendor Selection & Women in Leadership with CIO Maria Haight,” Shanks and Hockett sit down with Maria Haight, CIO of TGI Direct to discuss her invaluable insights on cultivating successful vendor partnerships, the challenges and triumphs of women in the tech industry, and her personal journey to the top.
