Have you completed the 2024 printing industry Wages, Salaries and Benefits Survey? If not, your action is needed to voice the current status of how these metrics apply to women in the printing industry. Survey responses help shed light on the state of women in the print workforce, while also spurring dialogue on how to attract new female employees to the industry and better support women currently working at printing companies.
The broad purpose of the survey, which is conducted by PRINTING United Alliance and its Research team, is to address the critical issue of compensation in an historically tight labor market. The three-part survey collects demographic information regarding the percentage of women (and minorities) working in the industry and also asks pertinent questions regarding benefits such as paid parental leave, wellness programs, and profit-sharing plans. Questions regarding wage and salary levels are asked, too.
You can access the survey here. All responses are strictly confidential. It is open to both members and non-members of Women in Print Alliance.
In this video, PRINTING United Alliance Chief Economist Andy Paparozzi and Women in Print Alliance Professional Advisor Adriane Harrison, VP of HR Consulting, talk about the importance of completing this survey – and note that only survey participants will receive a complimentary report on the full survey results. (A big perk to women who want to be knowledgeable when interviewing for jobs or negotiating current employment agreements!)
Participation in surveys like this is just one example of how women in print can make their voices heard collectively and be the catalysts to spark important discussions related to inclusion and diversity within the printing industry.
