Women in Print Alliance is excited to announce two upcoming networking events geared toward helping women make meaningful connections within the print industry.

December 12, 2024: Members-Only End-of Year Networking Event (Virtual)

On December 12, Women in Print Alliance is hosting an end-of-the-year members-only virtual networking event – with a fun twist. And in January, Women in Print Alliance is headed to Phoenix to hold its first-ever in-person Regional Meet Up in Scottsdale, Arizona.

According to Women in Print Alliance director Lisbeth Lyons Black, the December 12 event “will provide a space for our members to connect virtually and raise a glass to reflect on 2024’s challenges and celebrate the year’s successes.”

The group plans to shake things up in a unique collaboration with the women-owned small business BarBees. The virtual networking event will feature an educational cocktail/non-alcoholic mocktail-making class. (Women in Print Alliance members can register here.)

“We’re thrilled to partner with the female entrepreneurs at Barbees to provide this fun experience for our members,” continues Lyons Black. “As part of our commitment to inclusivity, we’ll focus on both cocktail AND non-alcoholic mocktail recipes. Also, we are hosting two identical events across two time zones to allow more women to participate after work.”

January 13, 2025: Regional Meet Up in Phoenix Metro Area (In-Person)

The January 13 regional meet up is a free, pay-as-you-go meet up open to all Phoenix area women working at any level or function at a print or print-adjacent company. Members and non-members alike are invited to attend; Women in Print Alliance members will receive a complimentary welcome drink. (Phoenix-area women can register here.)

Regarding the in-person meet up, Lyons Black says, “There’s a vibrant community of women in print in the Phoenix area – several of whom I’ve had the luck to meet over the past years – and I’m delighted that our first-ever regional meet up will be held in Scottsdale.”

“These meet ups offer our members a way to come together, exchange ideas, and build relationships in a casual space that allows for personal and professional growth. Non-members are welcome, too, and I look forward to those women attending to see first-hand what membership in Women in Print Alliance is all about.”

But what if you don’t live in the Phoenix area?

Lyons Black says, “I will stress that Phoenix is our first Regional Meet Up…but it won’t be our last! We plan to expand this networking series to other metro areas across the country during 2025, ending with our major in-person confab at PRINTING United Expo in Orlando, Florida in October.”

“One thing we heard following our sell-out networking luncheon in conjunction with PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas was that industry women desire more opportunities to come together, network, and support one another – virtually, but even more so in-person,” says Lyons Black.

“Our end-of-year virtual members-only networking event and our first-ever regional meet up in January are just two ways we’re seeking to deliver on Women in Print Alliance’s community-building mission.”
