PRINTING United Expo is where our industry gathers to see what’s next, but this year it was also a place to celebrate notable women who are leading the way. Over three days in Las Vegas, women from every corner of print were honored, awarded, inducted, and elected to lead. Their achievements inspire and strengthen our entire community, and we invite you to celebrate them with us.

Women in Screen Printing and Women in Wide Format Awards
On Thursday, September 24, Screen Printing and Big Picture magazines came together in a shared ceremony to honor the 2026 class of the Women in Screen Printing Awards, now in its seventh year, and the Women in Wide Format Awards, now in its eleventh.

In its second year of collaboration with Women in Print Alliance, the awards ceremony was opened by Director Lisbeth Lyons Black who thanked the publications for continuing to highlight female achievement in the industry. Lyons Black also delivered words of admiration, noting the annual awards are “not merely participation awards, but honors for women who have truly earned their stripes” in the printing industry. The opening set the tone for an afternoon dedicated to recognizing women whose leadership reaches well beyond their own businesses.

Adrienne Palmer, owner of AP Media Group and former editor-in-chief of both publications and the founder of both awards programs, hosted the program and introduced each honoree. Award winners were invited to make remarks. Heartfelt, inspiring, and hopeful can collectively describe the words shared by each woman.

The 2026 Women in Screen Printing honorees are:

• Julie Denton-Price, BlueCotton
• Nathali Lopez, NL Designs
• Janet Morris, Blue Ridge Graphics
• Jennifer Oaks, Gerald Printing

Lane Hickey-Wiggins Inducted into the Ben Franklin Honor Society

On Wednesday, September 23, Lane Hickey-Wiggins of DPRINT (Douglass Screen Printers, Inc.) was inducted into the Ben Franklin Honor Society as part of its Class of 2026. The Society, part of PRINTING United Alliance, recognizes individuals whose meritorious service has made significant and lasting contributions to the printing and graphic communications industry, from association leadership and entrepreneurial achievement to support for education and the next generation.

The honor is a fitting one. Lane has just completed her term as Chair of the PRINTING United Alliance Board of Directors and continues to serve the Board as Immediate Past Chair. She is also a founding Advisory Council member of Women in Print Alliance.

Michelle Moxley Inducted into The Academy

Also on September 23, Michelle Moxley of The Ink Kitchen joined the Academy of Screen & Digital Print Technologies (ASDPT), known as The Academy. Established in 1973, The Academy is an international body of experts that recognizes individuals for distinguished, long-term contributions to screen and digital printing, and for their willingness to share what they know with others.

Michelle’s day held more than one honor. Her writing earned two Swormstedt Best-in-Class Awards, and Academy members selected her article “AI Generative Art in 2025” as the overall 2026 Swormstedt Award winner, recognizing exceptional technical and educational writing that moves the industry forward.

Women Serving the Industry Through Board of Director Roles

PRINTING United Alliance announced its 2026 Board of Directors during Expo, and women hold key leadership seats among the officers and directors guiding the Alliance’s strategy for the year ahead. Those elected to serve the industry include:

• Lane Hickey-Wiggins, DPRINT, Immediate Past Chair
• Elaine Scrima, GSP Companies, Treasurer
• Betsy Davis, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Sandy Alexander
• Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Business Development and Distribution, Agfa

Their volunteer service ensures that women’s perspectives help shape the direction of North America’s most comprehensive printing and graphic arts association.

Congratulations to All!

To every woman honored at PRINTING United Expo this year: we salute and thank you for leading, mentoring, and opening doors for those who follow. Your achievements are a reminder of what this community makes possible, and we’re proud to celebrate you.
