Join us for the second annual Women in Print Alliance Book Chat featuring author Mita Mallick and her newest book, The Devil Emails at Midnight: What Good Leaders Can Learn From Bad Bosses.
Mita is on a mission to fix what’s broken in our workplaces. She’s a corporate change maker with a track record of transforming businesses and has had an extensive career as a marketing and human resources executive.
Her book tackles head on how bad bosses aren’t born; bad bosses are made. In this must-read business book, Mita shares hilarious and heartbreaking stores of the 13 bad bosses she once endured and survived, even including when she was a bad boss in her career.
In Mita’s book, through powerful storytelling and practical advice, members will:
- Learn from negative examples – such as the “helicopter boss” or “spotlight-stealing boss” – analyzing the behaviors to learn what not to do
- Hear actionable steps on handling leadership issues – such as micromanagement, defining urgency, and creating more inclusive environments
- Reflect on their own behavior to recognize when they might be falling into bad habits
- Redouble their focus on basic kindness and respect to build better workplaces
After reading the book independently, Women in Print Alliance members will come together virtually with the author for interactive chat about the challenges she issues to both current and aspiring leaders – all with the goal of avoiding the pitfalls of bad boss behavior.
