Last October, Women in Print Alliance had the pleasure of hosting Madeline Fetterly, digital branding expert and CEO & Founder of Be the Brand, as the keynote speaker at its annual lunch in conjunction with PRINTING United Expo. The opening line of her presentation was simple yet stark: your LinkedIn profile is your most viewed public biography. Therefore, a key outcome of the “Lunch & Learn” session was help attendees establish a solid plan for developing and/or elevating one’s digital presence on LinkedIn.

Now, in the new year, Madeline – whose describes her company as “hyper focused on staying ahead of trends to help clients maximize success on LinkedIn” – is back to provide her company’s predictions on how LinkedIn will evolve in 2024. We’re sharing her list below in order to help women in print stay ahead of the curve in using the platform to best promote their unique personal and professional digital brands.

Here are Be the Brand’s 2024 predictions:

🌟 LinkedIn will continue to be the primary social media platform for professional networking, brand positioning and community building.

📱 More and more executives will invest in LinkedIn as a tool for their personal and professional thought leadership. Professionals crave authentic leadership and LinkedIn is a great place to build an authentic presence.

👩‍💻 Strivers working to quickly grow their audience will need to spend more time utilizing LinkedIn features such as video, collaborative articles and participating in forums.

#Hashtags will be used less on LinkedIn as there are other community build blocks out there to help find your people on the platform.

✔ Marketing teams will increasingly integrate LinkedIn strategy into their annual strategy.

💲Paid advertising will increase on LinkedIn as the daily traffic to the platform continues to increase and more and more people leverage it as one of their primary, trusted sources of information.

🖥 This year, AI will become fully integrated onto the platform and be part of the normal user experience.

As always, we thank Madeline for sharing her expertise with the women in print community.
